ACCOUNT DIRECTOR – San Francisco, California
An Account Director is responsible and accountable for the overall planning, leadership, and direction of marketing efforts and/or project management. In addition, they have overall responsibility for managing growth, profitability, and the value-add relationship with our clients.
Responsibilities – Account & Client Service
- Lead client relationships and quality of team delivery
- Development of strategic platforms and campaigns
- Ensure all clients receive the care and attention needed to deliver superior work and grow Velocidis relationship with them
- Developing documents, with clear strategies, and tactics for execution
- Executing and/or managing the execution of the work required for each client especially in the social space. Knowledge of integrated marketing programs.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of social media and foundation principles of digital marketing
- Assist in the development of media plans (research and strategy)
- Proofread/quality check written work prepared by other team members
- Develop understanding of clients internal organization, business and sector, and share with other team members
- Understand key client information including business strategy, products and services, key customers and competitors
- Ability to consistently adhere to project timelines and deliverable dates
- Developing winning selling strategies and proposals
- Account and project management of any Web builds for clients assigned
- Collaboration and work in a totally integrated way with creative and technology staff
- Coordinating, managing and mentoring virtual, opportunity-based teams
- Understanding of/experience with B2B marketing programs and campaigns
Management Skills:
- Train and Supervise junior staff (AAE to AS) to develop your skills and abilities alongside an over-riding concern for excellence in work methods and output
- Identify and nuture deficients in teams skill sets

- Contribute to the performance appraisal process for peers, managers and direct reports
Business Development:
- Contribute pro-actively to new business activities, e.g. through research, drafting emails/letters, drafting slides for presentations and contributing to strategy

- Help establish and/or execute the checks and balances needed to deliver a profitable enterprise; manage client budgets and ensure profitability

Experience: Five to seven years; agency experience preferred
